My name is Heidi Dimmick. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. I love watching children learn and grow and I enjoy being there to facilitate their learning.
I graduated from Utah Valley State College (UVU now) in April of 2004 with duel teaching certificates in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I taught 1st grade for two years at Westside Elementary School in Springville. After having my first child I realized that working full-time with a baby wasn’t for me, so the following year I taught 1/2 day kindergarten at Westside. Riverview Elementary School opened and I moved there to be closer to my home. I taught 1/2 day kindergarten there for two years and during that time had two more children.
I took this last year off to be a full-time mom to my kids. After being home with them for almost a year now I’m not ready to return to a school, but I miss teaching. I miss watching amazing things happen as children grow and are able to accomplish new things. That is why this preschool was born. It is a way for me to have the best of the two worlds that I love most.
